We aim to delight our global customers with a highly flexible rapid prototype, precision CNC machining and plastic injection molding services. At 2010, Creatingtec Rapid Manufacturing Limited was started by two experienced mechanical engineers with an extensive background in precision machining and plastic injection mold tool manufacture. With an initial investment in two CNC machines, we quickly expanded our manufacturing capabilities to include CNC machining, injection molding, and molding production shop in our 2000m² manufacturing facility.
Located in Wuhan, and with customers from all over the world — including a rapidly growing client base across London and the UK — we have amassed extensive experience in developing hardware and components. We have a wide range of experience producing parts and complete products with varying levels of complexity from many different industries.
This experience has enabled our team to develop in-depth knowledge when it comes to ensuring parts are made right the first time. Under our ISO9001-2005 Quality Management System, we have developed robust and reliable procedures for managing projects. We have five inspectors that not only perform first-article, in-process, and final inspection, but they also work side by side with our shop floor staff to ensure that we meet our customers' requirements.

London is one of Europe's most dynamic hubs for advanced manufacturing, engineering innovation, and deep-tech startups. Here's how the rapid prototyping sector fits into London's industrial ecosystem.
Greater London and its surrounding regions — including the Thames Gateway and Park Royal industrial estates — are home to thousands of engineering and manufacturing businesses. The city's advanced manufacturing sector contributes over £8 billion annually to the UK economy, with precision machining and prototyping playing a critical role in supporting product development across industries.
London consistently ranks as Europe's top city for tech startups and venture capital investment. Areas such as Tech City (Silicon Roundabout), White City Innovation District, and King's Cross have become epicentres for hardware startups and deep-tech companies that rely heavily on rapid prototyping services to iterate products quickly and bring innovations to market ahead of competitors.
London is the UK's leading MedTech cluster, with world-class institutions such as Imperial College London, University College London, and the Francis Crick Institute driving medical device innovation. Rapid prototype machining is essential for developing surgical instruments, diagnostic equipment, wearable health monitors, and implantable devices — all sectors experiencing significant growth across London's life sciences corridor.
The aerospace and defence industry is a cornerstone of UK manufacturing. London-based companies and those in the wider South East corridor supply precision components to major OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. Rapid prototype machining enables faster R&D cycles, reduced tooling costs, and rigorous component testing — critical in an industry where safety and precision are non-negotiable.
London and the UK automotive sector are undergoing a major transformation towards electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous driving technologies. Rapid prototyping services support the development of new EV battery housing components, lightweight structural parts, and sensor enclosures. London-based automotive engineering consultancies rely on fast-turnaround CNC machining to accelerate their design validation processes.
London's world-renowned universities — including Imperial College, UCL, King's College, and Queen Mary University — generate significant demand for precision prototype components for research projects across robotics, materials science, photonics, and biomedical engineering. Rapid prototype machining companies serve as essential manufacturing partners for these academic institutions.
The rapid prototyping and precision CNC machining industry is evolving rapidly. Here are the key trends driving growth and transformation in London and globally.
Artificial intelligence is revolutionising the way prototype components are designed and machined. AI-powered CAD/CAM software can now automatically optimise toolpaths, predict machining errors, and reduce material waste — significantly cutting lead times and costs for London's engineering businesses.
The integration of additive manufacturing (3D printing) with subtractive CNC machining is creating powerful hybrid workflows. London companies are increasingly adopting this approach to produce complex geometries that would be impossible with CNC alone, while still achieving the tight tolerances required for functional prototypes.
Sustainability is a growing priority for London businesses. The rapid prototyping sector is responding with energy-efficient CNC machines, recyclable materials, and minimal-waste production processes. Companies that can demonstrate a commitment to sustainable manufacturing are increasingly preferred by London's environmentally conscious clients and procurement teams.
The shift towards digital manufacturing platforms is transforming how London businesses source rapid prototyping services. Online instant quoting, digital file submission, and real-time order tracking are now expected as standard. This digital-first approach enables faster procurement cycles and greater supply chain transparency for UK product developers.
London's high-tech industries are demanding components made from increasingly advanced materials — including titanium alloys, carbon fibre composites, PEEK, and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. Rapid prototype machining companies with multi-material capabilities are well-positioned to serve the growing needs of London's aerospace, medical, and electronics sectors.
As products become smaller and more complex — particularly in medical devices, electronics, and optical instruments — the demand for micro-machining and ultra-high-precision CNC services is growing rapidly. London's MedTech and photonics sectors are driving this trend, requiring tolerances measured in microns rather than millimetres.
