CreatingtecVacuum Casting Service
At Creatingtec, we deal with solving everything that involves creating a master pattern. We also cast copies using your CAD designs. In addition, we create top-notch molds as well as offer an extensive array of surface finishes. This includes sanding, painting, pad printing and so much more. We work with our clients in creating display models, crowdfunding ads, and samples. Here is further insight into the vacuum casting process and its entirety.
What Is Vacuum Casting?
Vacuum casting refers to a rapid prototyping method that uses a cost-effective silicone mold. We use it in making the top-notch low volume of parts. The copies we make through vacuum casting have a great surface detail that is quite similar to the original pattern.

Part 1:
Creating the Master Pattern
We make the master pattern from your CAD design. To achieve this, we use either 3D plastic printing like SLS/SLA or CNC machining. Our clients have the option of supplying their pattern or we make new ones for them. Patterns must withstand 40 degrees Celsius.
Part 2:
Creating the Mold
We usually create casting molds from liquid silicone. We begin by pouring the silicone around the master pattern in the casting box. We then allow it to cure inside the oven for over 16 hours. Upon drying, we cut open the mold cut and remove the master. This leaves behind an empty cavity the exact negative shape of the master pattern.
Part 3:
Casting Copies
We pour in your choice of casting resins into the empty cavity. This allows us to create a highly similar copy of the original. Moreover, we can over-mold it using two or more materials. Silicone molds ideally last for 20 or so copies.
