What Is Pressure Die Casting?
It refers to a process that we use in making top notch copies of your designs. We achieve this by injecting molten metal into a custom steel die. We often opt for pressure die casting during mass production of metal parts. Moreover, it offers an awesome final finish and dimensional accuracy.

What Are the Pros of Pressure Die Casting?
Firstly, we can work on an array of castable metals. These includes aluminum, magnesium and zinc. Secondly, we can economically create tens of thousands of parts using mold tools. Thirdly, it offers amazing accuracy and final surface finish. Fourthly, we can achieve complex shapes with relative ease. Finally, this method is ideal for larger metal parts.

What Is the Pressure Die Casting Process?
Our team of experts are often able to successfully complete the pressure die casting process. Upon receiving an order, we proceed to carry out a design manufacturing review of your CAD files. We then verify the tooling raw material to ensure they meet the compliance standards. Afterward, we use our multi axis CNC machines in machining the cavity and core. Careful heat treatment follows so as to temper the tools. We then exercise process control during casting of our client’s parts. Finally, we have the option of carrying out post machining or processing. We can then subject it to inspection so as to ensure it meets the needed standards.

What Is the Pressure Die Casting Tolerances?
We mainly follow the standard tolerances set by NADCA. However, we follow the precision tolerances standard when dealing with a client that has precise needs. This is often after fully confirming your designs.

What Is the Pressure Die Casting Materials?
● Mold Tools
We make our mold tools from H14 tool steel that has a Rockwell Hardness score of 42-48. In addition, there are specialty steels available as per the client’s request.
● Die Cast Parts
An array of metals is available for the pressure die casting process. The choice of material depends on the weight, cost and performance. We use aluminum in projects that need strong but lightweight parts. The most common alloys include ADC10, A413, ADC12 and A380. In addition, we can subject them to high polishing. Zinc on the other hand is ideally the cheapest. It is also suitable for plating. The available Zinc alloys are #3 and #5. Meanwhile, magnesium provides the best strength to weight ratio. This makes it ideal for high performance use. We offer the AZ91D alloy.
