Aluminum (6082-T6, 7075-T651) – Its superior properties in strength, light weight and applicability make aluminum an excellent material for hundreds of everyday products. Stainless steel (303,316L,304) – One of the best and most well-know characteristics of stainless steel is that it is extremely corrosion resistant. ABS – This reliable thermoplastic is known for its versatility, durability, and ease of processing, it is widely used in industries like consumer product. It brings general-purpose performance for parts like electronics enclosures and handheld devices, and is also relatively inexpensive.

Polyoxymethylene (POM) – POM, or acetal, also referred to by the brand name Delrin, is a frequently chosen plastic material. It is extremely chemically inert, ductile and strong. Acetal has the added bonus of boasting excellent dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction and resistance to abrasion, making it commonly used in low-pressure bearings and sliding parts, etc..

Elastomers: Elastomers are becoming increasingly popular in the robotics industry due to the rise of soft robotics, which are used for more delicate tasks that require a less heavy hand. These materials are also used for internal components in standard robots, such as semiconductors and casings where flex is needed.
