The Most Challenge Is What POM Valve Body Parts CNC Machining Manufacturing?
Both PC base and POM vale body need to be assembled parts with the others parts, and electronic devices, and make whole hole circulate. The whole devices is suitable to the medical devices, under environmental protection, also with rigidity and insulative. Most of the time, we have to consider the injection molding for them, however, when we have verified rapid prototype and low-volume production, we have to consider the vacuum casting and CNC milling process to save time and cost.
The whole product machining challenging is the big valve body have more runner, including straight, inclined hole, and POM materials is very easy to deform, up and down six holes is not straight line, and need all of holes running can be connected, this is great difficulty, and up hole size is 8mm, down hole size is 6mm, inclined holes is 6 holes, We have to rotate 5 different location for machining them.

How to Develop and Machining The Complex POM Valve Body Parts?
All of the medical parts ask for raw materials that must comply with ROHS, and FDA certification, and some electronic medical devices ask PC or POM material to machine their components due to parts’ weight, and material performance being better than metal material.
All of the plastic materials are from the PMMA and POM, and a few materials are from 6082 aluminum.
For most of the parts, we have used 3D printing to test and verify its feature for the CNC machining process.
Further using the 3D program to simulate the machining process to reduce risk.
Set up the after-machining process including polishing, and cleaning up.
Set up a good machining process and inspection standard.
