The first run of prototypes was CNC machined from aluminum in a 5-step process:
1. CNC Program the Machines
2. Engineering Review and Improve the Codes
3. Mount the Workpiece on the Machine and Adjust the Setup
4. Monitor Production and All Functions
5. Do adjustment the Cutting Programs When Necessary
3D printing and Vacuum casting
1.The material identification.
2.Printing the mater design, and make casting with over-molding
3.Hand polishing and Inspection.
These practices are typically repeated in any 3D printing and CNC machining project, the CNC programs used are unique for each part. We had to consider things like machine type, part geometry, tool type, and raw material.
The prototypes were sent to our model shop and our trusted partners for polishing to achieve a reflective and shiny appearance, powder coating to achieve a more durable protective finish, and silver anodizing to create a beautiful clear finish that enhances resistance to corrosion and wear.
