What's The Project Challenge For The Projects?

The main challenge is the product thickness is 60–90mm, and the feature is heteroideus. All parts need to be assembled and made function-purposed.

Our engineering team have to use extended cutting tools, and 5-axis and 3+2 axis CNC milling machines to complete them. When we rotate to different angles, all thread holes are precision-machined and need to be assembled.

How To Understand and Make The Parts?

First, we conducted a careful design overview to understand the parts and suggest improvements when possible. Then, we applied Positive Material Identification (PMI) to test the composition of the alloys used in the tools and parts.

    Fabricating The Prototypes

The first run of prototypes was CNC machined from aluminum in a 5-step process:

    1. CNC Program the Machines
    2. Engineering Review and Improve the Codes
    3. Mount the Workpiece on the Machine and Adjust the Setup
    4. Monitor Production and All Functions
    5. Do Adjustment the Cutting Programs When Necessary

These practices are typically repeated in any CNC machining project; the cutting programs used are unique for each part. We had to consider things like machine type, part geometry, tool type, and raw material.

The prototypes were sent to our model shop and our trusted partners for:

    • Polishing — to achieve a reflective and shiny appearance.
    • Powder Coating — to achieve a more durable protective finish.
    • Silver Anodizing — to create a beautiful clear finish that enhances resistance to corrosion and wear.

How To Develop and Manufacturing CNC Machining Aeroplane Parts

Most of the aeroplane parts' CNC machining includes rapid prototype and volume production. When we make 2–4 prototypes, the feature and material ask us to specify the material supplier, like 7075, 7475, 2024 and more.

Aeroplane parts need us to further consider the whole process — from single part machining, surface coating, to assembly. This is a very complex process, so our engineering team needs to make a detailed DFM report before production.

🚀 We are dedicated to rapid prototype and low volume production for aeroplane parts and provide fast feedback and delivery with high quality. These aeroplane features require us to use 5-axis CNC milling to complete.

When you have aero parts CNC machining inquiries or customized parts, you can send your inquiry to our email address so our engineering team will discuss with you on each production detail. Whether you need 1 pc or more than 50 pcs, we make the best support to you based on cost-effectiveness. Tell us your requirement or expectation — our team will serve it for you. You can start a new project now.

What's The Surface Finishing Can Be Done After CNC Machining?

    • After most of the aeroplane parts are CNC machined, we will provide good finishing like anodizing, powder coating and more.
    • Shaft House and engine mount parts — after CNC turning and lathe, we will have polishing and hard anodizing process to make it aesthetic.
    • Tubes fitting — we have a 3+2 axis CNC machining center to complete and then do hard anodizing process to protect the surface.

    ❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are used for CNC machined aeroplane parts?
We primarily use high-grade aluminum alloys such as 7075-T7531, 7475, and 2024 for aeroplane parts. These materials are selected based on the specific strength, weight, and corrosion resistance requirements of each application.
What CNC machining capabilities do you have for aerospace components?
We own 5 sets of 5-axis CNC machining centers and 8 sets of 3+2 axis CNC milling machines, along with 2 slow-EDM units, 2 large lathes, and 2 grinding machines capable of tolerances under 0.005mm — ideal for complex aeroplane parts.
What surface finishing options are available after CNC machining?
We offer a range of surface finishing services including anodizing (standard and hard anodizing), powder coating, polishing, and silver anodizing. These finishes enhance aesthetics, corrosion resistance, and overall durability of the parts.
Can you handle both prototype and volume production for aeroplane parts?
Yes. We specialize in rapid prototyping and low-to-medium volume production. Whether you need 1 piece or more than 50 pieces, we provide cost-effective solutions with fast turnaround and high quality. There are no minimum volume requirements.
How do you ensure the precision and quality of assembled aeroplane parts?
Our engineering team conducts a thorough DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review before production. We use extended cutting tools, 5-axis and 3+2 axis CNC machines, and monitor each step — including thread hole precision and multi-angle setups — to ensure all parts assemble correctly and function as intended.
How do I get a quote for custom CNC machined aeroplane parts?
Simply send us your project drawings (2D and 3D files) via email. Our sales and engineering team will review your requirements, provide a detailed DFM report if needed, and send you an affordable quote promptly — with no minimum order quantity required.
