Machining Process: CNC Machining & Surface Finishing
- Own 5 sets 5-axis CNC machining centers and 8 sets 3+2 axis CNC milling machines.
- 2 sets slow-EDM, 2 sets larger Lathe, and 2 sets grinding machines under 0.005mm tight tolerance.
- Secondary finishing including anodizing, powder coating, and more.
What's The Project Challenge For The Projects?
The main challenge is the product feature is very complex, and these holes need to flow through. We need to machine these surfaces one by one, then drill and clean the holes.
Our engineering team have to use extended cutting tools and CNC milling machines to complete them. When we rotate the different surfaces, all of these thread holes must be precision-machined and ready for assembly.
How To Understand and Make The Parts?
First, we conducted a careful design overview to understand the parts and suggest improvements when possible. Then, we applied Positive Material Identification (PMI) to test the composition of the alloys used in the tools and parts.
- 1 CNC Program the Machines
- 2 Engineering Review and Improve the Codes
- 3 Mount the Workpiece on the Machine and Adjust the Setup
- 4 Monitor Production and All Functions
- 5 Adjust the Cutting Programs When Necessary
These practices are typically repeated in any CNC machining project; the cutting programs used are unique for each part. We had to consider things like machine type, part geometry, tool type, and raw material.
The prototypes were sent to our model shop and trusted partners for polishing to achieve a reflective and shiny appearance, powder coating for a more durable protective finish, and silver anodizing to create a beautiful clear finish that enhances resistance to corrosion and wear.
How To Develop and Manufacture CNC Machining Hydraulic Valve Block Parts
Most automotive parts' CNC machining includes rapid prototyping and volume production. When making 2–4 prototypes, we consider using 5-axis CNC machines and turn-mill combinations to manufacture them, followed by after-machining finishing processes.
⚙️ Hydraulic Valve Block Parts require us to consider the entire process — from single part machining, surface coating, to assembly. This is a very complex process that demands precision at every stage.
We are dedicated to rapid prototyping and low-volume production for Hydraulic Valve Block Parts, providing fast feedback and delivery with high quality. We can manufacture customized parts whether you need 1 pc or more than 100 pcs — we can meet your requirements.
When you have CNC machining inquiries or customized parts requests, send your inquiry to our engineering team. We will discuss each production detail with you. Whatever you ask — 1 pc or more than 100 pcs — we will make the best cost-effective support for you. Tell us your requirements and our team will make it happen. You can start a new project now.
What Surface Finishing Can Be Done After CNC Machining?
Enhances corrosion resistance and creates a clean, attractive finish.
Provides a durable, protective finish for long-term performance.
Adds precise markings and branding to finished parts.
- Bumps and engine mount parts: After CNC and lathe machining, we apply polishing and hard anodizing to achieve an aesthetic finish.
- Tube fittings: Completed with a 3+2 axis CNC machining center, then hard anodizing is applied to protect the surface.
