● Own 5 sets 5-axis CNC machining centers and 8 3+2 axis CNC milling machines.
● 2 sets slow-EDM, 2 sets larger Lathe, and 2 sets grinding machines under 0.005mm tight tolerance.
● The secondary finishing including anodizing, power coating and more.
What's The Project Challenge For The Projects?
⚠️ The main challenge is the product feature is very complex, and these holes need to flow through. We need to machine these surfaces one by one, then drilling and cleaning holes.
Our engineering team have to use extended cutting tools and CNC milling machines to complete them. When we rotate the different surfaces, all of these holes and thread holes must be precision-machined and ready for assembly.
How To Understand and Make The Parts?
First, we conducted a careful design overview to understand the parts and suggest improvements when possible. Then, we applied Positive Material Identification (PMI) to test the composition of the alloys used in the tools and parts.
The first run of prototypes was CNC machined from aluminum in a 5-step process:
- 1 CNC Program the Machines
- 2 Engineering Review and Improve the Codes
- 3 Mount the Workpiece on the Machine and Adjust the Setup
- 4 Monitor Production and All Functions
- 5 Do Adjustment to the Cutting Programs When Necessary
These practices are typically repeated in any CNC machining project; the cutting programs used are unique for each part. We had to consider things like machine type, part geometry, tool type, and raw material.
The prototypes were sent to our model shop and our trusted partners for polishing to achieve a reflective and shiny appearance, powder coating to achieve a more durable protective finish, and silver anodizing to create a beautiful clear finish that enhances resistance to corrosion and wear.
